Joseph Lucidas Louis (Das) was born on November 22, 1945 in Cabaret, Haiti from Sillonis Louis and Doremise St Fort. Das grew up in Cabaret, Leogane and Port-au-Prince where he attended the college “Chez Alphonse” and “Lycee Firmin”. In 1968, Das moved to New York where he studied Mechanics. Then, he worked for the Ford Company, until he moved to Florida where he was a Cab driver.
Das is survived by a large and extended family consisted of biological or adopted daughters and sons, numerous sisters and brothers, countless nieces and nephews and many friends from all walks of life.
Das was joyful, funny, loving and cheerful. He was a gentleman. He will be missed.
